Gatherings is an amazing vintage church building that is now being used as a Wedding Chapel and Reception Hall. By popular request, we offer the building's space alone to host your dream wedding and reception in addition to our ala carte add-ons and our full packages.
At Gatherings, our goal is to give you the wedding you've always
dreamed of. A wedding that brings a rich legacy of history and beauty
into your future. A wedding that you and your guests will delight in, hosted in a unique,
lovely, and richly appointed setting.

Our
wedding chapel was once home church to Governor Francis Pierpont,
famous for helping make the only geographical change due to the Civil War;
the creation of the State of West Virginia leading him to be called the "Father of West Virginia".
Red
carpeting and solid cathedral oak pews and furnishings create a
fabulous backdrop to the spectacular drapery glass stained glass
windows.
Our Reception Hall
Our
reception hall is mansion-like, adjoins the chapel and is also adorned in cathedral oak
and stained glass. Your guests will not have wander about between your
ceremony and your reception celebration in Historic Downtown Fairmont, WV.

Please Note: Dates are not
confirmed until a hold date deposit is made and a contract signed. As
there are only so many Saturdays wedding dates available, competition
can be great for each date, and in fairness to the other couples, we
cannot hold a date until we have a deposit and a contract.
Bridal Showers & Rehearsal Dinners
Gatherings offers rehearsal dinners in conjunction for those who are booked to marry at our Chapel.

In addition, we work with Serenity Cafe (a block away). Serenity offers lighter fare in a unique, European atmosphere. Events are private and exclusive; the cafe is not open to the public during your special event. They offer bridal and baby showers,meeting space and ice cream socials as well.
